40-year-old woman recounts failed car camping attempt

A Japanese woman tried sleeping in her kei car at a roadside station parking lot in Saga Prefecture but abandoned the plan about half an hour after dark. She had prepared curtains, a table, lights and a mattress, yet could not set up the interior in the dark, and the cabin without air conditioning became stuffy. She drove home alone on an expressway she had not used before. She said the failure, after about six months of preparation, was a useful lesson.
