Taroko National Park authorities confirmed that Korean blogger Lee Da-hye violated rules while filming a motorhome overnight stay on Wuling Peak on 4 October. Climbing on rocks carries a fine of up to 3,000 Taiwan dollars, while the cooking inside the vehicle is still under review. The case raised questions about using an electric cooker without open flame in a legally parked vehicle. Camping expert Dage published a 2021 park reply that allowed such use under certain conditions and noted unclear wording in the 2022 and 2025 rule amendments. If cooking is ruled a violation, the first fine is 1,500 Taiwan dollars and repeat offences cost 3,000.
