Dispute over Yuldong campsite
A dispute has erupted in the South Korean city of Seongnam (Gyeonggi Province) over the legalization of an auto campsite in Yuldong Park. The provincial prosecution launched an investigation in June, believing the site should have been registered as a campsite under the Tourism Promotion Act, not as a park area.
Area and zoning
According to Source 1, the site area is 8,941 sq m. According to Source 2, the campsite area is 26,734 sq m, exceeding the 10,000 sq m limit set for protected green zones. City authorities say the land category change aims to resolve legal uncertainty, not to legalize retroactively.
