Port Erin commissioners say infrastructure issues for campervans need addressing before the village can fully welcome visitors. Local rules allow authorities to tackle abandoned vehicles but do not specifically cover motorhomes.
Chair Hannah McKenzie noted a conflict between the board's own policy and that of the Department of Infrastructure. The recently adopted Vision Port Erin strategy includes a review of legislation on footpaths and open spaces. McKenzie said she intends to address grey and sewage waste disposal in the coming years.
