On the A13 motorway through the Brenner Pass, due to the renovation of the Lueg Bridge, a temporary lane split based on vehicle weight has been introduced. On days with heavy traffic, the right lane is reserved for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, while the left lane is for heavier vehicles. Automatic scales on the right lane detect overloads. Fines start at €90, with additional penalties from €140 for overloading.
