Police in Scharbeutz (Schleswig-Holstein) checked the load of 85 motorhomes and caravans ahead of the tourist season. Almost all vehicles were within the permissible weight, which came as a surprise to the inspectors. No violations were recorded.

Earlier, in March 2026, police in the Pinneberg district conducted free weight checks for motorhomes and trailers. The campaign aimed to prevent accidents caused by overloading and was part of a safety initiative for the holiday season.
