Spain's General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has clarified driver's license requirements for different types of recreational vehicles. Most motorhomes and campers under 3,500 kg MAM only require a standard category B license. Motorhomes exceeding 3,500 kg require a C1 license, and those over 7,500 kg require a category C license. For towing caravans, rules depend on the total weight of the vehicle combination, with requirements for B, B-96, or B+E licenses.
