Criticism of motorhome parking prices: Majority rejects amendment

In Stade, the access road to the motorhome site at Schiffertor has been completely renovated after repeated guest complaints about potholes and water accumulation. Operator SMTG paved the area and installed new drainage pipes. Work began in November 2025 and was completed in time for the season despite frost delays. The site remained open during construction. The city of Lorsch raised the daily ticket price for its motorhome parking from 10 to 20 euros. According to the commentator, abolishing the short-term parking tariff contradicts the goal of attracting day tourists.
