The authorities of Eryri National Park (Wales) have suspended the overnight parking ban on nine car parks, introduced on April 1 to tackle illegal camping. The decision came after local residents reported that anti-social behaviour and litter had moved to roadsides and other car parks.
According to one source, the ban will be lifted on 11 car parks, with two exceptions — Llyn Tegid and Llangywer — where a pilot camping ban will run from 1 to 3 a.m. The proposal will be considered on June 10. The park, visited by nearly 4 million people a year, will hold consultations with stakeholders to find a long-term solution.
