Beauly Holiday Park owners mark 10 years with new bar and festival plans

Alan Hogan and his wife Lori Ondriska-Hogan are marking ten years at the helm of Beauly Holiday Park. They bought the Highland site in 2016 while looking for a new home for their motorhome rental business. The park is about a 20 minute drive from Inverness.

Hogan said the park was rundown and lacked investment. The toilet block was in such a bad state that he took one shower there himself and then shut it. Contractors began work on a new building, but Scotland's Covid lockdowns stopped the project. Hogan did all the internal work himself, and the pandemic cost the business an entire season and brought extra expenses.

Over the decade the couple have turned the site into a busy destination, particularly for festival-goers. The park's micro-festivals Beauly Buzz and Mutiny of the Beauly keep drawing bigger crowds. The owners have now unveiled plans for a new bar and a new mini-festival, Back to the Beauly, celebrating music from the 70s and 80s. Hogan said the success of the events was completely unexpected.
