The government of Asturias has approved a decree regulating coastal hospitality services and the placement of motorhome areas. The rules take effect next spring. The season for beach bars is extended from 1 May to 15 October, and the bars must be dismantled at the end of the season except in specific cases. Motorhome areas may only be located outside the coastal protection zone and within land designated for parking in the Coastal Management Plan. The maximum stay is limited to 48 hours.
