PP of La Oliva demands paid water system for motorhomes in El Cotillo

Residents of the Villas Caravaning campsite in Cartagena have proposed installing individual water meters to prevent a cut-off due to a debt of over €700,000. Concessionaire Veolia announced the suspension of supply over non-payment, and a proposed payment plan was not accepted. The city council will study the feasibility of individual meters to separate residents' responsibility.

The political group Fuerteventura Avanza has submitted a proposal to the Puerto del Rosario city council to create a municipal service area for motorhomes, caravans, and camper vans. The facility would include grey and black water dumping, fresh water supply, and waste management. The initiative cites the growth of itinerant tourism and the lack of such infrastructure in the island's capital. A technical study to determine the best location and funding from various programs are also planned.
