EU allows category B licence holders to drive heavier motorhomes

A new EU directive (2025/2205) permits category B licence holders to drive motorhomes with a maximum mass of up to 4,250 kg, and up to 5,000 kg when combined with a trailer. Additional training or a separate test will be required, and the right will be marked with code 96.02. The standard 3,500 kg limit remains, but the extension provides a 750 kg margin for heavier models.

Campers propose redevelopment of peninsula near Apatin: more containers, sand refill and regulated lease

Campers who have stayed for years on the peninsula near Apatin propose a systematic redevelopment: more waste containers and clear conditions for camper trailers to remain. About one hundred camper trailers are currently on the peninsula, with roughly 30% of owners from Apatin and the rest from Sombor, Subotica and other parts of Vojvodina. According to Zoran Knežević, a single container at the entrance is insufficient, and parts of the area are not regularly maintained. Proposed solutions include sand refilling to raise the terrain, a central path from "Plava Ruža" to the tip, and division into plots with mandatory maintenance; campers say they are willing to pay a fee, lease or bid for space if clear rules are established. The 29-hectare peninsula is owned by the Provincial Government, while "Vojvodinašume" manages only the forest, not the land.
