Interior
UAZ has published interior renders of a prospective camper based on the Profi truck. The living module is designed for four people: an upper bed with a lifting mechanism, a dining area that converts into a double bed, a kitchen with a gas stove, and a bathroom with a shower.
Chassis
The base is the Profi with a 2.7-litre ZMZ petrol engine producing about 150 hp or a bi-fuel version at 140 hp, a five-speed manual transmission, and a choice between rear- and all-wheel drive. According to one source, all-wheel drive with a transfer case and low range is expected.
Unknowns
The sales start date and price have not been announced; unresolved issues include the weight of the living module, autonomy, and payload. Previously, UAZ began production of the Baikal camper series based on the Bukhanka, originally intended for the European market.
