Several companies within the Swedish Svenska Husbilsgruppen have been declared bankrupt. The conglomerate, which became one of the largest players in the market after acquiring Hobby Fritid i Tenhult AB, had annual sales of motorhomes and caravans worth approximately 500 million Swedish kronor. In its statement, the company attributes the industry crisis to the aftermath of the pandemic, high inventory levels, rising interest rates, and decreased demand.
