Chinese company Juzheng Auto converted a Toyota Hiace into an RV with a VIP lounge. The van features leather seats that fold into a bed, LED ceiling lighting, a TV, and a sink. A notable addition is a toilet, which is rare in converted vans. The conversion costs approximately $50,000.

Dozens of motorhomes from across China have parked near the Dinosaur Museum in Erenhot, Inner Mongolia, as tourists seek cooler weather. Most travelers are retirees staying for several days or weeks, enjoying free campsites with lighting, water, and restrooms. The city reports a growing number of such visitors and plans to expand RV-friendly infrastructure.

Chinese motorhome manufacturer Kenis (Jimo, Qingdao) reported that its production orders are scheduled through August 2025. On June 23, four motorhomes were simultaneously delivered to customers from Xi'an, Wuxi, and Chongqing. The company invites potential buyers to the factory to inspect the assembly process and test drive, covering travel and accommodation expenses. Kenis holds three key patents, including an opening front section for views, a tilting cab for maintenance, and a double-layer floor for increased storage and insulation. Water capacity is 470 liters, hybrid system 60 kW. In 2024, 100 units were sold; in the first half of 2025, 80 units; annual forecast is 160–200 units. An Australian client has also placed a design order.

Chinese authorities announced new measures to boost the auto market, including support for motorhomes and camper vans. Pilot projects are launched in 40 cities, with Yangzhou focusing on RV camping. The Ministry of Commerce and eight other agencies issued 17 measures covering legalization of vehicle modifications, simplified registration of classic cars, and optimized traffic management for motorhomes.

Huairou District, Beijing, has opened its first comprehensive service station for self-drive tourists, upgraded from the 'Xingchen Su' motorcyclist station in Xifuying Village, Labagoumen Township. Located on the Jingjialu highway linking popular scenic spots and routes to Hebei and Inner Mongolia, the station adds services including traffic safety information, route guides, direct police alerts, emergency assistance, safety data collection, and advocacy for civilized travel. It has a direct communication link with Huairou traffic police for rapid incident response. The district now operates three such stations covering over 30 clubs and 20,000 motorcyclists.

USA TODAY published a feature on Skydream, a Chinese smart RV brand. The company has developed an integrated platform based on an electric skateboard chassis, incorporating driver assistance, energy management, and smart home systems. Its lineup includes three types of trailers: all-terrain, lightweight road, and off-road. The first production model is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 in Australia, New Zealand, and North America.
