Michigan-based Kingstar will present the KRUZR 12 truck camper at Overland Expo East on October 23–25 in Arrington, Virginia. The model has a 12-foot, 4-inch floor and a dry weight of 5,774 pounds, requiring a Ford F-550 or Ram 5500 chassis cab with an 84-inch cab-to-axle configuration. The $116,960 starting price excludes the truck, which starts below $60,000 for a Ram 5500 and above $80,000 for a Ford F-550 XLT, so the complete rig can exceed $200,000. It carries 90 gallons of fresh water, a 1,320-watt solar array, and a 24-volt, 460-amp-hour lithium battery system.
