Nissan updates Clipper Van and Clipper Rio: camper for €12,000

At Bospop 2026 in Weert, Netherlands, a converted caravan serves as the 'Mini Concert Hall,' hosting 15-minute shows every half hour by the band Komen Lopen. Capacity is about 15 spectators, with a repertoire ranging from Harry Styles to ZZ Top. The project operates on a voluntary basis without official status.

A family with two children (ages 9 and 4) is living in a 2005 Hobby caravan at Camping Meerwijck in Midden-Groningen because their house in Sappemeer is being renovated for 12–16 weeks. Renting a chalet in high season costs around €1,000 per week, so the family opted for a cheaper alternative. The 91-year-old grandmother from Delfzijl visited them at the campsite; she was transported by cargo bike as she has become less mobile and uses a walker.

Dutch company Vantrack has unveiled the Lightcamp concept, a lightweight camper conversion for the Kia PV5 Passenger electric van. The kit features a slide-out sleeping platform, a portable kitchen, and a rooftop tent that can be easily removed for daily use. Sleeping capacity is four: two on inflatable Exped pads inside and two in the roof tent. The production version is set for September 2025, with complete vehicles starting at €65,000.

The first motorhomes arrived on Tuesday at Sportpark Ezinge in Meppel, where a temporary campsite is set up for the 40th edition of Fiets4Daagse Meppel. On Tuesday afternoon in Drunen, police spotted a vehicle towing a caravan that was registered as stolen. When officers attempted to stop it, the driver fled at high speed through the town center, causing multiple dangerous situations and even trying to push a police car off the road. After about five minutes, the vehicle entered a dirt track where it got stuck; both occupants fled on foot but were immediately arrested. They face charges including attempted manslaughter, handling stolen goods, causing danger, and failing to stop. No injuries were reported.
