Highland Rigs has unveiled the Chino 2026, a camper based on a diesel all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a long wheelbase and high roof. The price is $175,000, and the mileage is just 2,000 miles (about 3,200 km). It offers four sleeping places (an electric HappiJac lift bed and two sofas) but only two seat belts, which may be a concern for a family of four. The equipment includes a refrigerator, a two-burner induction cooktop, a sink with a filtered water tap, a portable toilet, a foldable Tetravan shower, 400-watt solar panels, a 3,000-watt inverter, a fresh water capacity of 36 gallons (about 136 liters), and a Rixen heating system. For winter trips, it has increased ground clearance, BFGoodrich KO3 tires, a roof rack with a ladder, additional lighting, and Starlink Mini. This is a one-off conversion, not a factory model; the standard Chino starts at $155,000.
