Major RV Rental Network Opens New Base in Saitama Prefecture

Blaze has launched a campaign where buyers of the Next Camper kit for light commercial vehicles receive a pet cart as a gift for purchases made between March 16 and May 31, 2026. The promotion targets pet owners facing limited pet-friendly accommodation options. The camper conversion kit, compatible with vans like the Suzuki Every and Daihatsu Atrai, creates a sleeping area and includes a large cabinet for pet supplies.

The Japan RV Association is promoting a network of paid parks for motorhomes and camper vans, designed to provide safety and amenities. The new facility in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture, is located by Lake Kizaki and offers 24-hour access to hot springs, electricity, and waste disposal. The park accommodates extended stays and serves as a base for year-round outdoor activities.

The Montbell brand has introduced new products for sleeping in cars and outdoor activities for the spring-summer 2026 season. Key novelties include a thermal insulation mat with an R-value of 4.9, a rechargeable lamp, and a camping stove with visual flame adjustment. A significant price reduction for a popular series of down sleeping bags was also announced.

Japanese TV personality Akiko Matsumoto reported that her motorhome rental business incurred a loss of 1 million yen in 2025 despite an increase in bookings from foreign tourists. The primary reason was mass cancellations due to frequent bear sightings across Japan, which deterred customers, including those from abroad.

The website DRIMO has introduced three RV parks in Yamaguchi Prefecture suitable for beginners. The parks feature hot springs, 24-hour showers, Wi-Fi, and electrical hookups. Overnight stays start from 1,000 yen.

The Nissan Diario Pop motorhome based on the Caravan van was presented at an exhibition in Nagoya. The 4.7-meter model features a pop-up roof, bunk beds, and a heating system, accommodating up to six people. The price starts from 8.9 million yen.
