Japanese camper builder Direct Cars signed a dealership agreement with Kia PBV Japan and began sales of the KIA PV5 electric vehicle in May 2026.
Model
The KIA PV5 is built on the PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) platform, allowing changes to the body and interior layout. It is offered in passenger (5 seats) and cargo (2 seats) versions.
Customisation and sales
Direct Cars plans to offer customisation for motorhomes, camping, car overnight stays and mobile business. Sales and demonstrations are held at three centres: Mie, Kanagawa and Fukuoka.
