The electric van Kia PV5 will be presented in Japan for the first time. According to one source, the showcase takes place June 27–28 at Minamimachida Grandberry Park; according to another, July 4–5 in Tokyo. The organizer is Toy-Factory, Japan's largest camper manufacturer based on the Toyota Hiace.
Two versions will be shown: passenger (5 seats) and cargo (2 seats). The model is built on the PBV (purpose-built vehicle) platform with a low floor and modular construction. The PV5 won the International Van of the Year 2026 award, and the cargo version set a Guinness record for range on a single charge — 693.38 km with full load.
In Q1 2026, 8,113 units of the PV5 were sold; according to one source, its share in the European light commercial EV segment was 9%.
