Ultralight caravan Coyot GT: can be towed even by a Škoda Fabia

The Czech company Caravanbox introduced the lightweight Coyot GT living structure, which is strapped to a standard trailer. The structure weighs 270 kg, allowing it to be towed by vehicles with low towing capacity, such as the Škoda Fabia 1.0 MPI. The base price starts at 127,050 Czech crowns, and due to its low weight, the product does not require an additional technical inspection.

Seven motorhome brands recalled over faulty ISOFIX mount

The European Safety Gate system has reported recalls for motorhomes from seven brands within the Erwin Hymer Group: Bürstner, Corigon, Dethleffs, Etrusco, Hymer, Laika, and LMC. The issue is a defective weld on the ISOFIX bracket, which may fail in a crash and increase the risk of injury to a child. The recall covers vehicles built from January 1, 2018, to May 1, 2026; the exact number of affected units has not been disclosed.

Electric motorhome shows how unsuitable this drive is for some vehicles

The Nissan Interstar-e Relax, an electric motorhome based on a van developed with Eifelland, has a WLTP range of 410 km, but in real conditions it achieves only 200–300 km, and on highways at 70–80 km/h, about 150 km. The maximum charging power is 130 kW, and the price is €89,900 (2.18 million CZK). Due to limited range and the need to power all onboard appliances from the battery, such a vehicle is practically unsuitable for long trips, for example, to the seaside.

Demand for motorhomes and caravans rises in Czechia

Czechia has over 66,000 registered motorhomes, with sales up 28% in the first half of the year. Marek Knieža, director of TIP Cars, advises buyers to consider driving licence requirements based on vehicle weight and to choose domestic routes for their first trip. Overnight stays outside designated areas are banned in most countries, except Germany, where sleeping in some locations is allowed.
