Japanese company Direct Cars has unveiled the Dune Rover (Katana Mini), a camper built on a Daihatsu Hijet kei-truck. The vehicle measures 3.4 m long, 1.48 m wide, and 2 m high, with a 660 cc engine. It features a seating area, sink, gas hob, fridge, and optional microwave, heater, fan, air conditioning, and solar panel. Sleeping capacity is 4: two in an overhead bunk and two on a convertible lower area. However, the cab seats only 2, so 4 people cannot travel simultaneously. Base price is 5.98 million yen (approx. €32,500). Not available in Europe.
