In Brief

Isuzu showcased a new long-wheelbase Be-cam chassis with 4WD at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, while its Capital Region division launched a camper rental program for employees based on the Elf Mio light truck.

Isuzu is strengthening its presence in the camper van segment. At the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, the company unveiled an extended version of its Be-cam camper chassis, featuring a wide cab, increased wheelbase, all-wheel drive, a gross vehicle weight of 6.6 tons, and a 9-speed transmission. A custom concept called GeoRoam with additional equipment was also displayed on this chassis.

Separately, in spring 2026, Isuzu Capital Region introduced a camper rental program for employees as part of their benefits package. The campers are converted from the Elf Mio light truck and CAN be driven with a standard driver's license.
