German manufacturer Kuckoo Camper from Baden-Württemberg has introduced the Max Offroad model (from €17,500), a compact caravan measuring 4.30 m in length, 1.98 m in width, and 1.89 m in height. It accommodates two adults, with optional child bed or roof tent expanding capacity to four people. Features include 16-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, increased ground clearance, roof rack, and aluminum edge reinforcements. Weight starts at 420 kg, and the caravan is approved for speeds up to 100 km/h. The base version is intended for self-build, while fully equipped off-road variants range from €20,000 to €25,000.

For 2027, several manufacturers offer fully integrated motorhomes with a face-to-face lounge (vis-à-vis). This layout, featuring two opposing benches and a table, allows for dining, games, or relaxation. Prices range from under €85,000 for an entry-level model to over €150,000 for a French luxury motorhome.

Travel agency TUI ranked European countries by camping-friendliness. Albania took first place, followed by Poland and Germany. The ranking considered campsite prices, infrastructure, and natural diversity. Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, and France were recommended for different types of campers.

German company Sealander has introduced a camper trailer that can be used on land and water. The trailer, weighing up to 750 kg, does not require a special driver's license in most countries and can accommodate up to six people, with sleeping space for two. Optional equipment includes a stove, refrigerator, and solar panel.

Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026 will take place from August 28 to September 6 at Messe Düsseldorf. More than 800 exhibitors will be spread across 15 halls and the outdoor area, covering about 250,000 square meters. A weekday ticket costs 18 euros, weekend tickets 20 euros, and parking is 10 euros per day. For the first time, Hall 7a will be dedicated to roof tents, and the off-road section will be expanded in Halls 16 and 17. The trade fair ticket no longer includes public transport in Düsseldorf.

German company Sealander has introduced a caravan that can be towed by a car and then launched into water, where it becomes a small motorboat. It measures 4.69 m long, 1.66 m wide, and 1.93 m high, with a maximum weight of 750 kg, allowing it to be towed without a special license in Germany. The vessel is certified as CE Category D, intended for calm waters with winds up to 4 on the Beaufort scale and waves up to 30 cm. The base price is €39,750, with options adding over €12,000.
