Sales of pop-top camper vans in China are growing faster than the motorhome market. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, sales of these vehicles rose 85.61% year on year in 2025. In the first half of 2026, 5,315 new camper vans were registered, up 64.2% year on year. In September 2026, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and nine other departments issued measures to boost motorhome consumption, including simplified registration and driver training. Prices for these camper vans range from 100,000 to 200,000 yuan.
