Kabe, which makes caravans and motorhomes, has reported its results for the first nine months of 2026. Revenue reached almost SEK 2.8 billion, up 11% on the same period last year. Profit came to SEK 168 million, more than double the figure a year earlier. For the third quarter alone, profit was SEK 48 million, against SEK 11 million in the same period last year.
Expansion in Tenhult
Sales of new motorhomes are driving the figures, while sales of new caravans are less stable. The company has applied for planning permission to expand motorhome production in Tenhult, near Jönköping, and has already begun recruiting. Chief executive Alf Ekström expects around 30 new jobs by January.
Kabe is funding the investment in production capacity from its own resources. The company says the expansion depends on the decision to scrap a planned railway that would have run close to the plant.
