AL-KO VTE introduces smart home system for motorhomes

Checks were carried out at a designated motorhome area in Viterbo. The operation aimed to monitor compliance with parking and stay regulations.

A severe tornado struck an airfield in Serdiana on the evening of March 14, causing extensive damage. The storm overturned a parked motorhome with a parachutist inside, who sustained only a minor hand injury.

A new equipped motorhome parking area has been inaugurated in Torrita di Siena. The facility with 10 stalls, waste disposal and water hook-up points was built from scratch with total investments of 64 thousand euros, 20 thousand of which were contributed by the Tuscany Region. The area is located in the Torrita scalo zone on land donated by the local "Circolo Arts" association.

A group of approximately 30 campers from Pisa arrived in Montecatini Val di Cecina, where they were greeted by Mayor Francesco Auriemma. Local authorities stated they are working to create incentives for camper owners wishing to stay in the municipality.

The Fit Your Camper exhibition in Bologna from April 9 to 12, 2026 will feature a custom Iveco Tigrotto 4x4 motorhome. The 7-ton vehicle is equipped with a 900-watt solar system, 608 Ah battery, and 9 kW inverter. The specially designed body with independent suspension is intended for extreme off-road use.

Two motorhomes parked on Via Togliatti in the Italian town of Sestu were completely destroyed by fire overnight. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the Carabinieri are investigating the incident by reviewing CCTV footage to determine the cause of the fire.
