On Friday afternoon, firefighters freed two people from a camper van on the B97 bypass near Spremberg. The occupants were unable to exit through the door themselves but were not injured. The road was fully closed for several hours, with police directing traffic past the scene. Firefighters secured the vehicles, contained spilled fluids, disconnected the batteries and removed two gas cylinders from the camper. The cause of the incident is not yet known.
