A fire broke out on a campsite in Rerik (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania), completely destroying a Fiat motorhome. According to some sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday, while others report June 16 or 17, 2026. The fire started around 3:00 PM for unknown reasons.
The owners had left the motorhome shortly before the fire to go on a bike ride and were unharmed. The flames also damaged a neighboring van. Seventeen volunteer firefighters from Bastorf and Rerik battled the blaze. Damage is estimated at 15,000 euros. Police are investigating possible arson.
