A 65-year-old woman from Burgkunstadt has recovered her motorhome after allegedly losing nearly 60,000 euros in a sale. She listed the vehicle on an online platform in May 2026 for nearly 60,000 euros, met a prospective buyer in Bad Staffelstein in September for a test drive, and agreed to the sale. After handing over the motorhome, the buyer broke off contact and the agreed five-figure sum was not paid; she filed a complaint in late September. Coburg police determined the buyer had given a false name, and in early October the Coburg district court authorised a search of the suspect's property in Baden-Württemberg, where the motorhome was found and seized; it was returned to the owner last weekend. The suspect is a 70-year-old German national facing fraud charges.
