A Mercedes-Benz 1418 motorhome was destroyed by fire in the Tomaz Coelho district of Brusque, Brazil, on the night of 27 October. Firefighters were called at about 22:50 to Rua José Dubiela.
When crews arrived, the motorhome was almost completely in flames, apart from the bedroom and the engine compartment. Firefighters first used a foam line, but it was not enough to put out the fire, so they continued with water. They used 14,000 litres of water. Most of the motorhome was consumed by the flames, while the engine compartment, the engine and its components were preserved.
After the fire was out, the crew returned to the station but was called back because the fire had reignited. Firefighters returned and used foam again until the fire was fully extinguished. The owner stayed at the scene during the operation. There is no information about injuries or the cause of the fire.
