On Saturday evening, on the A2 motorway near Mezzovico (canton Ticino), a car driven by a 49-year-old Kosovo citizen collided with a motorhome travelling in the same direction. The camper left the road and came to rest on a slope behind the guardrail.
Seven people were taken to hospital: the car driver suffered life-threatening injuries, the camper driver moderate injuries, and the other passengers minor injuries. The northbound section is partially closed, with traffic expected to resume no earlier than 23:00.
