Several incidents with motorhomes in Germany
In Mutlangen (Baden-Württemberg) on July 8 at around 7:40 p.m. on Mörikestraße, an unknown person smashed the side window of a parked Fiat motorhome with a beer mug. The Schwäbisch Gmünd police have initiated proceedings for property damage and ask witnesses to call (07171) 358-0.
In Landau an der Isar (Bavaria) on the night of June 19–20 on Sudetenstraße, an unknown person attempted to break into the luggage compartment of a motorhome parked near an apartment building. The police estimate the damage at at least 1000 euros; proceedings have been initiated for theft from a vehicle. Witnesses are asked to call 09951/98340.
In Heiligenhaus (North Rhine-Westphalia) on the night of June 20, an 11-month-old Adria caravan was stolen from a company parking lot. A motion sensor alarm was triggered, but the perpetrators forcibly removed the anti-theft device and fled. The built-in GPS tracker allowed the caravan to be quickly located in the Netherlands. The Mettmann police have initiated an international search and ask witnesses to call 02056 9312-6150.
In Bad Salzdetfurth (Lower Saxony) on May 30, on the parking lot of a rehabilitation clinic, an unknown person broke into a Renault motorhome. Various items were stolen from the interior; total damage is estimated at 600 euros. The incident occurred on Saturday between 12:00 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The police ask witnesses to contact them at 05063/901-0.
