On the evening of 14 October around 22:00, Carabinieri from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Verona Company arrested a 39-year-old Moroccan citizen on charges of attempted aggravated theft. The man, using crutches, tried to climb into a camper van parked on Via Galvani through the rear window; an alarm triggered and a local resident alerted police. Officers already in the area detained him before he could enter. The owner confirmed nothing was taken, but the rear window and its blackout curtain were damaged. A judge validated the arrest, imposed a ban on residing in the Province of Verona, and postponed the hearing to June 2027.
