In the night of Monday, 7 September 2026, a Fendt 495 caravan with Mettmann license plates was stolen from a secured company site on Siemensstraße (also reported as Siemensstraße) in Langenfeld-Reusrath. The one-year-old caravan was parked on a fenced, barrier-protected area and secured with a wheel lock.
Around 5:45 a.m., an authorised person discovered that the barrier had been dismantled and part of the fence damaged. Despite the wheel lock, the perpetrators managed to steal the caravan. Police have secured evidence and launched an investigation; the caravan has been placed on an international wanted list.
