Police have launched an investigation after a Swift Sprite touring caravan was stolen from the campsite of the Fairport's Cropredy Convention in Cropredy, Oxfordshire. The incident occurred overnight on 14-15 August, when an unknown person attached the caravan to a silver Mercedes and drove it out via School Lane without lights on.
According to Banbury FM, the theft occurred on Saturday night between 23:50 and 00:30 from field 7a near School Lane. Thames Valley Police is asking witnesses or those with dashcam footage to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 43260422957. Festival organisers, whose event ran from 13 to 15 August this year, have limited ticket numbers to 6,500, although the event previously attracted up to 20,000 people.
