Man charged with dangerous driving with caravan

Since 2021, Denmark has abolished the requirement for a permanent residence for motorhome owners. Permanent residence in a motorhome is now possible upon obtaining a dispensation from the transport authority and having a contact address for official correspondence. Owners can sell or rent out their property to avoid housing commitments.

Police and fire services responded Wednesday evening to a burning caravan in western Odense. The fire occurred in connection with heating the caravan.

A motorhome caught fire on Wednesday morning on the Helsingør motorway in the southbound direction. One lane was closed, causing growing traffic congestion, with no injuries reported.

A fee-based parking area for 10 motorhomes has opened on the Danish island of Rømø. The site fee ranges from 24 to 42 Danish kroner per night depending on the season, plus a tourist tax of 65 kroner per adult and 29 per child. It is also necessary to check tire pressure, the operation of headlights, brake lights, and the handbrake.
