A fire broke out at Blue Dial Caravan Park in Allonby on Monday at 4:55 PM. Four fire crews from Aspatria, Cockermouth, Maryport and Workington arrived within 10 minutes and extinguished the blaze in just over two hours using two hose reel jets, four breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera. A park spokesperson said the quick response and fire prevention measures prevented worse damage. No injuries were reported; the cause was ruled an accident.
