A daring theft occurred in Mar del Plata, Argentina, when a Toyota Hilux pickup towing a camper was stolen. Inside were a family from Mendoza — two children aged 6 and 8, their mother and father.
According to sources, the driver stopped on the road when criminals approached. Jesus Matmud, hanging from the hitch, negotiated under threat of a weapon while his half-naked wife was dragged 50 meters. The thieves later released the family, and the children were found by police on the road.
The pickup and camper were later found abandoned; the perpetrators fled.
