Caravan completely destroyed by fire near Eskilstuna

A Swedish court sentenced a woman to one year in prison for aggravated animal cruelty. The case involved seven dogs kept in a caravan at a campsite in Piteå. During an inspection in November 2024, six of the seven dogs were found in poor condition, including severe emaciation and pain. The woman denied guilt, claiming she was helping aggressive dogs, but the court ruled the living conditions unsuitable.

The German Foreign Office updated its travel advisory for Sweden, noting increased thefts and attacks on motorhome and caravan owners, including on official campsites. It recommends using guarded campsites, additional locks, and keeping documents separate.

The municipal council of Värnamo, Sweden, has approved a proposal to expand parking infrastructure for motorhomes. The plan encourages private operators to establish new sites, while the municipality will not run camping facilities itself. The decision follows a survey showing growing demand and issues with unauthorized parking at recreational areas.

The Halle and Hunneberg destination with Bergagården has invested in motorhome parking spots but prohibits caravans. CEO Robert Stenberg explained that the decision is not theirs but follows regulations from the Västra Götaland County Administrative Board, which has banned caravans on the plateaus for decades. The land is owned by Sveaskog, and the parking area by Fastighets AB Vänersborg. HalleHunneberg is a non-profit municipal company; all surplus goes back into maintaining trails, grills, and shelters.

The Black Beast caravan, recognized as the world's largest, has been on sale in Sweden for over a year without finding a buyer. The unique model has had several owners and occasionally appears on social media. Despite a relatively low price, there is no demand for it.

Swedish manufacturer Kabe has introduced the new TRAQ series of motorhomes, capable of towing trailers up to 2,000 kg. The models are built on rear-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz chassis with dual rear wheels. The flagship Imperial TRAQ i830 has a gross weight of 5,500 kg and a permissible train weight of 7,000 kg. The semi-integrated Novum TRAQ 750 LGB is available with a gross weight of 3,500 or 4,100 kg and a train weight of up to 6,100 kg, with an optional all-wheel drive.
