On August 6 at around 15:30, a caravan caught fire on the slip road of motorway A98 near Stockach (Stockach-West junction). By the time firefighters arrived, it was fully engulfed in flames, which spread to the embankment and green verge.
The fire was extinguished in about 30 minutes. Two gas cylinders were removed from the wreckage and cooled. The caravan burned to the ground. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour, using four vehicles. Traffic was not blocked. Damage was assessed and the scene was handed over to police.
