Fires on Kifissou Avenue: Van and Motorhome Burned

Greece has reversed a general ban on motorhome parking that was implemented in May 2025. Under a new police directive (No. 1246/26/351380), motorhomes up to 7.5 meters can park without time limits in inhabited areas, while longer ones are limited to 24 hours.

Three fires occurred along Kifissos Avenue within an hour early Sunday morning. In Moschato, a commercial van and a motorhome were destroyed. Authorities are investigating possible arson due to the close timing of the incidents.

The Greek police have issued a clarifying ordinance, overturning controversial parking restrictions for motorhomes that had been in place since 2025. The new rules, effective February 15, 2026, state that motorhomes are subject to the same parking regulations as other vehicles.
