A fire late Monday afternoon in the Las Rosas area of Agüimes destroyed a motorhome and damaged three parked cars and the facade of a nearby house. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and the GC-191 highway, temporarily closed during the operation, was later reopened. The fire broke out near the Chapel of San Olav, formerly the Museum of Roses, between Cruce de Arinaga and El Carrizal. The cause is not yet known. No serious injuries were reported; three people went to a health center on their own, and a fourth declined medical assistance.
