In Yanchao District, Kaohsiung City (Taiwan), at around 9:35 a.m. on July 12, a 20-year-old woman surnamed Tseng, driving a white car, lost control on a wet road due to rain and crashed into a parked camper. The impact was so strong that the camper shifted, and the front of the car was completely destroyed. The driver sustained multiple abrasions and bruises, was hospitalized, and her life is not in danger. Police conducted alcohol and drug tests, both negative. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
According to the owner of the exhibition center, the damaged camper is worth over 1 million New Taiwan dollars. He also noted that this is the second such incident in two years: in 2022, a truck damaged five campers. Police and the transportation department will assess the need for speed cameras.
