In February, a resident of Pola de Siero was arrested for defrauding a Catalan woman in the purchase of a motorhome, convincing her he had transferred 34,000 euros when no payment was made. The motorhome, held in police custody, disappeared and was later found in a workshop in Lada (Langreo) that the suspect had rented without paying. The workshop owners handed the vehicle to the police and plan to claim over 20,000 euros from him for unpaid rent and damages.
