Firefighters from Elmswell and Bury St Edmunds were called to a caravan fire in Gedding at 8.10pm on Monday, October 19. Crews used two high-pressure hose reels and respiratory protective equipment to extinguish the flames. A water supply was set up once the Bury St Edmunds team arrived to help control the fire. Firefighters remained on scene to fully extinguish the fire and dampen down remaining hotspots before police took over.
