On the afternoon of August 23, on the E18 in Sandvika (according to other sources, in Sandvika), a car with a caravan skidded while changing lanes and collided with another car and a barrier. Traffic toward Oslo was completely halted, with police and firefighters on the scene.
According to Oslo police, the accident occurred around 14:40, blocking all lanes. By 15:16 one lane was opened, rescue crews remained on site, and two people were examined by medics. By 15:34 the road was cleared and traffic resumed. Police launched an investigation; the accident is believed to have happened during a lane change.
