Motorhomes are more often targeted by thieves due to their less protected rear section, lightweight windows, and long parking periods. According to Caradisiac, Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, and Citroën Jumper bases are among the most sought-after by theft rings. Last year, a network suspected of stealing 151 engines was dismantled in Centre-Val de Loire, and more than a dozen motorhomes were burglarized in one night at the Montélimar rest area. Specialized security systems cost between 250 and 1,000 euros, excluding installation.
